Issue 76

Posted on 26 August 2010 by Aaron

Greetings programs! A shorter show this week on account of epic heat, exhaustion, and admitted wussness. Still - Aaron, Scott, and Dan bring the glory with ranting from Geek Weeks. Then, a vampiric centric Pulling From Aaron’s Box from Boom Studios. Next, Dan talks about the low budget feature Zombies versus Ninjas. All that, and stunning awkwardness avoided with some Girl From Impanea. (Been a while since we’ve needed that one). Only on Geek in the City Radio!

Also - Don’t forget to pop on over to PDX Yar and download the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl drunken pirate commentary! (aka, longest title ever).

Issue 75

Posted on 19 August 2010 by Aaron

Really, with that summary, did you have any doubt this is GeekintheCity Radio? In this stunningly geeky issue, Scott and Aaron are joined by Bobby Roberts of Cort and Fatboy as they talk about Trial by Talkbackers. Then, they discuss the “failure” of Scott Pilgrim at the box office (and why critics need to learn to review films, not the audience). A Box Pulling from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. X-Files flashbacks. A 3 second “argument”. And, why the ladies ain’t gonna’ love Rudy Fernandez no more! All that, and more epic geekery. Only on GeekintheCity Radio.

Don’t forget to run over to http://www.tfaw.com/contests/zombie-tramp for your chance to win an original Original Zombie Tramp Sketch Plate by Dan Mendoza.

Issue 66

Posted on 10 June 2010 by Aaron

In this issue of GeekintheCity Radio, Dan and Scott both talk about the unapologetic glee that comes from watching The A-Team on the big screen. Was it everything an A-Team fan could want? Then, Aaron pulls from his box a killer title - The newly relaunched Hack / Slash from Images Comics. All that, and an epic journey to Astoria and the legendary Goon Docks! (And, perhaps some beard lamentations). NOTE - The “Geeks on Tap” episode will air later this week. We just didn’t want you to have to download a 3 hour show and the folks from PDX Home-Brewers brought too much goodness to cut out. In the meantime, enjoy some movies, comics, and a trip down memory lane with the Goonies. Only on GeekintheCity Radio.

As always, GeekintheCity Radio is brought to you by Things From Another World and your shot at a trip to the 2010 San Diego Comic Con!

Issue 62

Posted on 06 May 2010 by Aaron

Cinco de Geeko! In this rather strange issue of GeekintheCity Radio, Aaron and Dan… Well, they ramble on a lot. Dan learns what “Dos XX” stands for. (No, really). Aaron grants him honorary Latino Status, Dan returns the favor with Vikings. We learn that a Tilde is just a stretched out Umlaut. A very special installment of Pulling From Aaron’s Box! Then, they plot out a Thor versus Quetzalcoatl comic. Tales of British Pubs. Bad Swedish accents. All that and the lamentations of a broken Pirate record! Only on GeekintheCity Radio… Oh, and Aaron is a Time Lord, don’t tell anyone!

Issue, er… 61!

Posted on 29 April 2010 by Aaron

A strange show indeed. First, feel the lamentations of Dan as he makes good on a bet with Aaron. Seriously, who bets against Morbius the Living Vampire?! Then, Adam Rosko of Atomic Arts jumps into Aaron’s Box with a double pull of four-color goodness. Then, Scott has his long overdue rant on 3D in films - Gimmick or Art? Finally, what are the chances of The Blazers making an appearance on the show? Guess that depends on Phoenix! All that, and mass promotions - Like Iron Man 2 at the Roseway Theater - Tickets on sale now!

This weeks musical breaks are:

He’s Coming - El Luchador Negro

The Last Unicorn (live) - America
