Issue 76

Posted on 26 August 2010 by Aaron

Greetings programs! A shorter show this week on account of epic heat, exhaustion, and admitted wussness. Still - Aaron, Scott, and Dan bring the glory with ranting from Geek Weeks. Then, a vampiric centric Pulling From Aaron’s Box from Boom Studios. Next, Dan talks about the low budget feature Zombies versus Ninjas. All that, and stunning awkwardness avoided with some Girl From Impanea. (Been a while since we’ve needed that one). Only on Geek in the City Radio!

Also - Don’t forget to pop on over to PDX Yar and download the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl drunken pirate commentary! (aka, longest title ever).

Issue 75

Posted on 19 August 2010 by Aaron

Really, with that summary, did you have any doubt this is GeekintheCity Radio? In this stunningly geeky issue, Scott and Aaron are joined by Bobby Roberts of Cort and Fatboy as they talk about Trial by Talkbackers. Then, they discuss the “failure” of Scott Pilgrim at the box office (and why critics need to learn to review films, not the audience). A Box Pulling from a Galaxy Far, Far Away. X-Files flashbacks. A 3 second “argument”. And, why the ladies ain’t gonna’ love Rudy Fernandez no more! All that, and more epic geekery. Only on GeekintheCity Radio.

Don’t forget to run over to http://www.tfaw.com/contests/zombie-tramp for your chance to win an original Original Zombie Tramp Sketch Plate by Dan Mendoza.

Issue 74

Posted on 12 August 2010 by Aaron

This issue of GeekintheCity Radio opens a tad strange as they delve into Scott Dally’s nautical past. Then, joined by Adam Rosko of Atomic Arts - Aaron Pulls From His Box and reviews the new Dungeons & Dragons comic, followed up by some epically nerdy comic book talk. Then, Adam talks about how you can catch one more presentation of Trek in the Park followed by a screening of The Wrath of Khan! All that, and Dan Clark lets you know how you can still get copies of Pirate Batman! (heh). Only on GeekintheCity Radio.

As always, this issue is brought to you by Things From Another World - Over 18? Don’t forget to take the SuperF*ckers Contest - HERE.

Issue 73

Posted on 06 August 2010 by Aaron

With the whole gang back, GeekintheCity Radio immediately dives into the crazy with talk of Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet, defending the Young Guns II soundtrack, and defacing a comic by listener request… All in the first segment. Then, Dan recaps the horror and awesome of Seadog Nights. While Scott talks about how you can save $10 off Gilbert Gottfried tickets next Saturday, August 14, at the Aladdin Theater. (Okay, we’ll tell you also - Enter “GeekintheCity” at checkout and save 10 bucks, thanks to our friends at Cheezy Flicks). Then, Pulling From Aaron’s Box enters the realm of vampires with Baltimore - The Plague Ship. Next, a review of Midnight Syndicate’s The Dead Matter. All that, and the Gover’Ner discusses Prop 8 in California. No, really. Only on GeekintheCity Radio.
