Little Late – Green Hornet Trailer.

I know, 24 hours late, which is god-knows how long in Internet years. But, I wanted to post anyway.

First, this doesn’t look like a Michel Gondry flick at all. Then again, for all my issues with Michel Gondry, not making the same style movie over and over again is one of his talents I respect. The second thought that crossed my mind was, “Wow, for not wanting Kevin Smith’s script, this looks a lot like Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet.  I dig Seth Rogen. I meh  the nu-rap metal trailer music. (Hi, 1996, how’s if going)? I dig Jay Chou. I really meh that Sony added 3D in post-production. (STOP)! I adore the Black Beauty.  (Hell, I’m using the car style in my pending comic). Still, as much as I love all those old time radio shows and the characters that filled them; I think I am in the minority when it comes to The Green Hornet… Character and movie. A straight tie with “digs” and “mehs”, not a good sign.

What do you think?

3-D in post production? No thanks. Green Hornet! Hell yeah!

I have been loving the new series of Green Hornet comics that are coming out right now, to the point of pestering all of the folks on the V&V forums about them incessantly. Green Hornet kicks ass and, from what I can see in the trailer, looks like Seth did a good job in the role. I will be seeing this in theaters, minus the 3D.

I know this is a bit late and off topic, but there seems to be a discrepancy in the issue numbers: I appear to be missing issue 48. While this isn’t all that important, it’s been bugging me for a while now and I wanted to know if this was a fault on my part or if you guys skipped 48.

Again, not all that important, just a bit nagging. (Thanks for the great lulz you guys bring me, by the way.)

I’m a fan of the Bruce Lee-era GH, so to see Jay Chou as Kato gives me hope that he will carry the action/characterization where Seth Rogen fails ( the clip convinces me of this). The post-production 3D blows, without question.

Heh, no. You didn’t miss anything. We accidentally skipped Issue 48 and then never “went back” as it were. We mock ourselves sometimes about these “Lost Issues” and someday we will get around to “finding” the “Lost Issues”… Not sure how they would turn out, but I do know they would probably star Clyde! 🙂
