Joss Whedon Directing Wonder Woman

Well, it’s official…

“Wonder Woman is the most iconic female heroine of our time, but in a way, no one has met her yet. What I love most about icons is finding out what’s behind them, exploring the price of their power. When Joel Silver [“Wonder Woman” producer] and I began discussing the character, I realized there is a woman behind the legend who is very fascinating, very uncompromising and in her own way almost vulnerable. She’s someone who doesn’t belong in this world, and since everyone I know feels that way about themselves, the character clicked for me.” – Joss Whedon

Well… Love him or hate him, it’s gonna’ happen. I’m curious to see what direction he takes. Modern or World War 2? Diana Prince or her mother? Nazis, terrorists, maybe the Gods? Fly on her own or Invisible Jet? And, most importantly… Mini-skirt, bloomers, or loin cloth?

Let the casting rumors and wet dreams begin…

About Aaron

Aaron Duran is founder and head writer of GeekintheCity.com, a website devoted to the latest in movies, comics, tabletop games, digital pastimes, and all things Geek. His fascination with comics, film, music, and obscure trivia has transformed into a lifelong pursuit of pop culture knowledge. A precocious writer who started out by spinning elaborate stories based on his favorite sci-fi and adventure franchises, he befuddled his grade-school teachers, who were convinced that no child could write that well at such a young age. When not hard at work on his plans for world domination, Aaron creates highly acclaimed independent films, freelances in many forms of media, explores the minutiae of pop culture, and shares his love of all things Geek with the world through his writing.
